comparison at a glance

So, which one should you choose?

The final choice usually comes down to where your marketing data lives, and how fast your team needs to ship new pages.

  • Framer is usually better if:

You want a fast, polished marketing site with strong motion and easy editing, and you are happy to send leads to HubSpot or another CRM through forms.

  • HubSpot is usually better if:

Your team already runs CRM, email, and automation in HubSpot and wants personalized pages, memberships, and reporting in one place.

  • Custom code (Astro or Next.js) is usually better if:

You want full design and performance control, HubSpot connected through its APIs and forms, and a site your developers or AI agents can edit in code.

Year-one cost

What the first year costs on each, side by side

One typical setup, priced the same way for both platforms. Pick a new build or a straight migration, then add maintenance if you want it.

We quote migrations after a URL inventory, so “Custom” is left out of the totals.

Our work costs the same on either platform, so the platform line is the only difference: $600 to $840 against $252 to $5,400 a year. Next to the build, it rarely decides the choice.

Which one works better with AI agents?

More teams want Claude or other AI agents to update pages, styles, and content. Here is how each option handles that today.

  • The code-based option

An Astro site in git lets agents edit real components, with HubSpot forms plugged in.

  • Where your leads go

Framer sends leads to HubSpot or any CRM. HubSpot keeps pages, CRM and email together.

  • Review before it’s live

Framer puts agent changes on a branch. HubSpot keeps its AI inside its own tools.

Questions for Framer vs HubSpot

Need help choosing the right stack?

Send us your current site, goals, and what your team needs to manage after launch. We’ll help you choose the right setup for your business.

Is Framer better than HubSpot for a startup website?

For most early-stage startups, yes. Framer is faster to launch, easier to keep on brand, and usually cheaper than HubSpot Content Hub once you need its Professional features.

HubSpot makes more sense once your team runs sales and marketing in HubSpot and wants the site tied directly to CRM data.

Can I use HubSpot CRM with a Framer site?

Yes. You can embed HubSpot forms, add the HubSpot tracking code, and keep CRM, email, and automation in HubSpot.

You lose some native features, like smart content based on CRM data, but keep Framer’s speed and design control.

Is Framer or HubSpot better for SEO?

Both can rank well when the site is structured properly. Framer gives you strong control over pages and CMS content. HubSpot has solid SEO tools and ties content performance to leads and deals in your CRM.

Which one costs more?

HubSpot Content Hub usually costs more once you move past the Starter tier, because pricing is seat-based and the Professional and Enterprise tiers carry most of the features. Framer plans are low monthly costs with add-ons as you grow.

If you already pay for other HubSpot hubs, the extra cost can be easier to justify.

Which one is easier for a marketing team?

Both are easy for content edits. Framer makes it easier to design and launch new landing pages without a developer. HubSpot keeps pages, emails, and forms in one tool, but new layouts usually need theme work.

Can you migrate from HubSpot to Framer?

Yes. Pages and blog content can be moved into Framer’s CMS, but HubSpot themes and modules don’t transfer, so the design is rebuilt.

We plan redirects, forms, and tracking so leads keep flowing into HubSpot after the move.

Can DesignMe build in both?

Our build platforms are Framer, Webflow, and custom code (Astro and Next.js), and each of them can connect to HubSpot CRM, forms, and tracking.
