Fitness app design agency
Sports and fitness apps people keep opening after week one
App, brand and website design for sports tech and training apps. We design the habit loop, the progress data and clear journeys for athletes, coaches and parents.

DesignMe is a design agency for sports tech, athlete development and fitness apps. We design mobile product UX, brands and websites, and help build the app: onboarding, training loops, progress data, rewards and tools for coaches and parents. Our sports work is Ballogy, an AI-powered athlete development app with 300K+ users. We have partnered with Ballogy for 9+ months, redesigning the full mobile experience and then rebuilding its iOS and Android frontend in a focused 3-month engagement.

Fit
Who we work best with among sports and fitness app teams
A good fit if
Probably not a fit if
- Not a fit: Gym or studio sites that only need class times and a booking widget
- Not a fit: Teams that need wearable firmware, sensors or computer vision models built
- Not a fit: Unfunded ideas that need a prototype for under a few thousand dollars
Sound familiar?
Your athletes showed up. Now the app has to keep them coming back.
Funded sports and fitness teams tend to hit the same walls once the app has real users. If a few of these sound like you, this page is for you.
Your app grew faster than its design.
Years of features layered on top of each other. We simplify what has grown complex and rebuild it on one design system, without losing the data and habits people rely on.
New users sign up, look around and never come back.
We make onboarding personal from the first screen, let people see real value before they commit to an account, and design the loop that brings them back next week.
Athletes, coaches and parents all squeeze into one app.
We split it into a journey for each role, so an athlete trains, a coach runs the team and a parent follows their child, without menus meant for someone else.
Athletes put in the reps, but the app doesn’t show them it is working.
We turn reps, video and raw numbers into scores, stat cards and trend charts people read at a glance, each with a clear next step.
Kids use your app, and the account system shows it.
Parent links, invites and profiles have to be clear about whose account is whose. We design those flows around your age and privacy rules, so families and coaches trust them.
You built it for one sport, and now you need every sport.
We design components and layouts that stretch across sports and positions without empty sections, so the next sport doesn’t need a new app.

Quick check
Will your fitness app keep people past the first week?
Tick what is true today.
What each score means
- 0 to 3Hard to stick with People likely drop before they see what the app does. Start with onboarding, the first session and one clear loop. Book an app review
- 4 to 6Useful, not yet a habit The core works. Role-based journeys, readable progress and a reason to return are the next steps. Talk through the gaps
- 7 to 8Ready to scale Your app holds up. Next gains come from more sports, team and club tools, and a system that keeps it all consistent. Plan the next step

FAQs
Sports and fitness app design questions, answered
How do you keep users in a fitness app after the first week?
Give people a result in their first session and a reason to come back. That means short, personal onboarding, one core loop (train, track, see progress, get rewarded) and progress they can read at a glance.
Reminders help, but they cannot rescue an app without a loop.
How do you design one app for athletes, coaches and parents?
Give each role its own front door instead of one app bent to fit everyone. On Ballogy we split the product into three journeys: players track progress, training and achievements, coaches manage teams, workouts and communication, and parents follow their child’s activity, schedule and coach updates.
Can you redesign a live sports app without losing users?
Yes. Keep the data and habits people rely on, simplify what has grown complex and ship it on one design system. Ballogy had a live app with 300K+ users and years of layered features when we started redesigning every flow, from onboarding and home to feed, training and profiles.
How long does a sports app redesign take?
It depends on the size of the app and how much gets rebuilt. We have partnered with Ballogy for 9+ months to overhaul the full mobile product experience, then moved into a focused 3-month engagement to rebuild the iOS and Android frontend.
Do you build the app, or only design it?
Both. We design the product and can lead the build alongside your engineering team, as we did on Ballogy’s iOS and Android rebuild. Where your team builds, we hand over organized Figma files, components and a design system to work from.
How do you design a sports app used by kids?
Make ownership obvious: who created the account, whose profile is tracked and how parent and child connect. On Ballogy, under-13 rules and parent-managed profiles shaped the account system, with an access code first, separate parent details and then child-profile confirmation.
We design for your age and privacy rules; your team owns compliance.
Do you design the brand and website as well as the app?
Yes. The store listing and the website are often the first screens people see, so they should feel like the same product. For Ballogy we worked on the brand and website as well as the app.
